WATER HEATED CENTRIFUGES

The Robinson WATER HEATED
unit operates on vehicle engine heat absorbed into the cooling system.
By simply circulating the vehicle's cooling media through the centrifuge's
watertight cavity, media heat is absorbed by the aluminum housing. Depending
on the engine thermostat, centrifuge location, and water hose insulation going
on the centrifuge, the unit will produce a temperature of approximately 150
degrees F.
Centrifuge
features include:
1. A circular design offering a high-efficiency unit that meets or exceeds
the RCF requirements of API and ASTM.
2. A heavy aluminum casting with a large watertight cavity for maximum heating
capacity. The larger the cavity, the more hot water circulating in the centrifuge,
the greater
the BTU's available for heating the oil sample.
3. A rheostat control with an "off" position for a slow, smooth
start and speed control.
4. Top-entry motor removal for replacement without having to remove the centrifuge
from its mountings.
5. A motor mount plate with a ball bearing provides stabilizing support for
the motor shaft.
6. One-inch thick mounting feet to reduce casting failures.
7. Lid designed with a hole in the center so that the centrifuge RPM's can
be checked with a hand held tachometer with the centrifuge lid closed.
8. A pre-heater section, with four pockets, located in front of the centrifuge
for easy operator access.
Specifications: 100ml short cone, 12 VDC, water heated, 23 ½" x 20" x 10 ½", 54 lbs.
